Nevada makes history as first female-majority legislature convenes

Nevada made history February 4 as the first female majority Legislature in the country convened in Carson City.

Assembly members were sworn in earlier this morning. Assembly Speaker Jason Frierson praised the “milestone” to applause.

Cathleen Allison of Nevada Momentum shared a photograph of the thirty-two female members of the Nevada Legislature standing as a group.
