Amy Abdelsayed is the senior digital content producer and an assignment editor for the ABC affiliate station in Las Vegas, Nevada, KTNV 13 Action News.
She joined 13 Action News in 2019 as a writer and editor, bringing with her a passion for community journalism in a city she knows and loves deeply. As the senior producer, she leads the digital team’s content strategy and helps guide editorial decisions.
In 2021, Amy launched “Las Vegas Art Scene,” a weekly segment featuring stories for the show “How to Vegas,” highlighting local artists and art experiences people can enjoy in the Las Vegas area.
Amy started her journalism career in 2012 at KSNV News 3, the NBC affiliate station, where she was a television news producer for the top-rated morning show in Southern Nevada at the time, Wake Up with the Wagners.
Her byline has appeared across a diverse style of publications including the weekly newspaper Boulder City Review in Boulder City, the entertainment magazine What’s On on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, and the alternative magazine Las Vegas CityLife.
Amy is a proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she was a writer for the university’s paper, The Rebel Yell, and a member of the student government election board. She graduated with a degree in journalism studies and film studies and a focus on political science.
